Carlijn Cornelisse is the founder of Studio Cornelisse, established in 2019 after working for seven years as a menswear designer for both retail and wholesale brands. With over a decade of experience in design and product development, she now focuses on supporting brands in the sustainable design and development of their collections.

Carlijn excels at identifying business opportunities, strategically translating trends into concepts, and designing cohesive collections. She ensures that the original design vision and quality are maintained throughout the entire product development process. Starting her own studio allowed her to work more flexibly, engage in various projects, and deepen her focus on sustainability and innovative techniques like 3D design.

In the early years, Carlijn embraced remote working for its flexibility and freedom. Over time, she’s come to equally value the creativity and clarity that face-to-face interactions with clients can bring. For her, it’s about finding the right balance between the independence of remote work and the energy of in-person collaboration.
